[StartQuote] Drew; Thanks., I have seen the PT 127 photo, but for some reason I remember seeing a "Jump seat" somewhere, I am begining to believe it was on a Higgins diagram, (Maybe 450 or 625 series-larger cabin)the seat I am thinking of was round, but similar to the ones I am posting below. These are Panzer seats but same general idea. [image]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p249/ptboats/Ted%20Walther/panzerjumpseatopen.jpg[/image] Open position. I will do some additions as per these photos. What are the items on the top of the wind screen? the item on left and center, i know the other is the torpedo director mounting point. Drew and Hadley; Funny you should mention the armor plate being removed. While I was looking for this seat in the older posts, I noticed Nats photos of RON 9 boats on White Plains, if you look at the enlarged photos, all of the boats with stern to the camera, have the armor plates removed. Also I came across a photo of Alfred vanderbilt at the wheel of PT 196 in New Guinea and the plate is gone. Also the other photos that comes to mind is of PT 131.
