[StartQuote] I was doing research for my scrap book on my father in-laws time on Pt 156. during 1944. I was at the PT museum in TN, working with Alyce for a couple days this week, Monday & Tuesday. As the gathering is done for the scrap book, I asked her advice for putting it together. She had a wonderful suggestion to have a forward written by a crew member. Alyce and her daughter Allyson felt that Dan Brunson would be a great choice for me. I was very excited to meet him from their discription of him and they thought he would be happy to do it and he would do a great job of telling in a few paragraph's his own perspective of the time. I loved the idea and was so excited to talk to him about it. I called Dan as soon as I got back this morning. His sweet wife told me that Dan had died, This April 15, of a massive stroke. She was thankful he did not suffer. He had just turned 88 on April 2,2012 [EndQuote]
