[StartQuote] Ted: PT 114 went from Ron 5 to Ron 2 to Ron 6 (Div 17) all in a matter of days and all while heading south to Panama. PT 113 was with the 114 and Raymond Thomas Leary was the CO of the 113. Baughman and Leary were never at Tulagi. Ron 6 arrived Tulagi December 31, 1942 minus the boats seperated away (119, 120, 121 and 122 for inclusion into Div 17). Baughman was in New Guinea mid-December of '42 as CO of Div 17 (with the 113 and 114). Byrd didn't join Div 17 from Ron 2. The boat went through all those changes outlined above without anyone aboard making a single move. Byrd was Ron, 5, Ron 2, Ron 6 (Div 17) all the while aboard PT 114 as ExO. And Leary served the same aboard the 113 as CO. I thought I cleared this up for you a while back. I wish my book was finished- 500 pages now. I need a publisher! Allan [EndQuote]
