[StartQuote] Hi All, just a question since this topic is on Lt. De Long , Has anyone found the 31 Boat in the Phiilipines and if not with all the receant mudslides earthquakes and such might she be lost never to be found? Also the same question for the 41 Boat ? So does anyone reading this have any ideas or knowledge of there possible recovery or being found past or presant? Depending on wich book you read there is always a variotion of the end of the 41 Boat but the 31 Boats sinking is allways the same, Lt. De Longs Report of the sinking is very clear on the events of that night. As for the 41 Boats end I lean towards MMFC John Tuggles version of events as its his personal eyewitness account and attachment with the Boat tends to outweigh someone writing a History of the events from a few thousand miles away from secondhand information.
