[StartQuote] Hi Pat! I for one would like to thank you for your service. Any time that one of you true WW2 PT Boaters is able and willing to tell us about their experiences on the Boats during WW2, I know that I feel lucky and priveledged. I think that was the main reason I got involved in the restoration of PT658, in order to hang out with our 10-15 WW2 veterans and hear their opinions and stories. Restoring the boat was originally just a side benefit for showing up. I hope you dont get too "put off" with this message board. It seems that many of us truly appreciate you guys for what you did over there for us back home. I know that for example because in reading "Earl from PT108's" messages on this board I have a better understanding for what a ships cook was faced with on the front lines aboard a PT Boat. We can't get this type of info from anywhere else, and that is why it is so valuable and rare. I hope you will be willing to continue telling your stories on this message board in the future, and if not, then I understand, but it will be a real shame! Because not many people around have been there and done what you did. So again, Thanks! And take care. I think we all hope to hear from you again.
